Dragon swim school corel9/11/2023 ![]() ![]() Thai swam for sixth place in the 100 backstroke and seventh in the 50 backstroke in the boys’ 11-12 division. Otazu, Edward Yi, Lo and Santiago Cacho-Sousa scored a pair of fifth place finishes in the 200 freestyle and 200 medley relays. Otazu grabbed fifth in the 50 backstroke, sixth in the 50 and 100 breaststrokes and seventh in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley. ![]() In the boys’ 10 and younger division, Lo took sixth in the 50 freestyle. Robin Yi captured the bronze in the girls’ 10 and younger division 200 individual medley and then swam to a fifth place finish in the 50 breaststroke and a sixth place spot in the 100 butterfly. Rachel Ku took a fifth in the girls’ 11-12 100 backstroke and seventh in the 100 breaststroke. So then teamed with Dobson, Du and Ashley Kang to take fifth in the 200 freestyle relay and seventh in both the 400 and the 200 medley relays. She also came in third in the 100 backstroke. ![]() So swam for gold in the girls’ 15 and older division, taking the top spots in the 100 butterfly and the 400 individual medley. Those who qualified included Chris Kang, Ashley Kang, Yumi So, Christine Ku, Michelle Du, Tricia Dobson, Rachel Ku, Robin Yi, Harrison Thai, Kyle Otazu, Gabriel Perez, Joshua Lo, Edward Yi and Ho Jean Yoon. The CCY Dragons Swim Team made a good showing at the 2006 Southern California Age Group Championships held June 22-25 at the Janet Evans Swim Complex in Fullerton.įourteen Dragon swimmers qualified for this highly competitive long course meet which featured some of the best young talent in the area. ![]()
